Who we are
Gietijzer is operated by KABUL B.V., Gietijzerstraat 3, 3534 AV Utrecht, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 91549779). We are responsible for processing personal data as described in this statement. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): we only use your data for the purpose we received it for, limit ourselves to what is necessary and ask for consent where required.
What data we process
- Basic details, such as your name
- Contact details, such as email address, phone number and address
- Company details, such as company name, registration and VAT numbers and bank details
- What you tell us about your event, such as date, number of visitors and wishes
- Technical data your browser sends along, such as your IP address
We receive this data from you, for example when you email or call us or enter into an agreement with us, or from public sources such as the Chamber of Commerce register.
What we use it for
- Answering your request and preparing a proposal
- Entering into and carrying out an agreement, such as room hire, catering, staff and equipment
- Meeting legal obligations, such as our accounting
- Keeping you informed about Gietijzer, if you are a customer or gave consent
- Keeping the website secure and working
We do this on the basis of performing an agreement, a legal obligation, our legitimate interest or your consent (Article 6 GDPR).
Cookies and storage in your browser
We use three kinds of cookies and browser storage:
- Necessary: your cookie choice and temporary settings for the transition between pages. These are needed for the site to work and are always on.
- Statistics: Google Analytics, to see how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and how often someone clicks our email address or phone number. Google Analytics places the cookies _ga and _ga_K4XERYWXJT, which stay for up to 2 years, and does not store IP addresses. We do not share this data with Google for other purposes. Only with your consent.
- Marketing: Meta Pixel, to measure and better target ads on Facebook and Instagram. The pixel tells Meta which pages you view and whether you contact us, and places the cookie _fbp, which stays for up to 90 days. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account. Only with your consent.
We load these services through Google Tag Manager. We only load that script once you consent to statistics or marketing, and it places no cookies itself.
Without your consent we place no statistics or marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we remove the related cookies from this site.
Who we share data with
We only share your data when this is necessary for the purposes above, and with parties that process it on our behalf. We sign a data processing agreement with them. For this website, these are:
- Google Cloud, which hosts the website in the Netherlands
- Cloudflare, which processes the contact form and uses Turnstile to check that you are not a robot, without tracking cookies
- Brevo, which forwards your request from the contact form to us by email; Brevo keeps the email temporarily in its sending log
- Google, for the map on the contact page; your browser loads that map directly from Google
- Google, for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, if you give consent
- Meta, for the Meta Pixel, if you give consent
- jsDelivr, which delivers a helper script for the Meta Pixel, if you consent to marketing
For the Meta Pixel, we and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting and passing on the data. What Meta does with that data afterwards falls under Meta's privacy policy.
Google and Meta may also process data outside the European Economic Area. They participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
If (part of) our business is sold or transferred, data may pass to the new owner.
Security and retention
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. We keep it no longer than necessary for the purpose we collected it for, or as long as the law requires. Requests from the contact form are kept only in our mailbox; we delete them no later than two years after our last contact, unless they lead to an agreement.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object, and have your data transferred. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request to rental@gietijzerutrecht.nl or by post to KABUL B.V., Gietijzerstraat 3, 3534 AV Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
